This is a mobile application developed by the City of Nicolosi for Civil Protection needs. Nicolosi is a major tourist center on the southern flank of Mount Etna. Its territory extends to the top craters of the volcano (3,300 m msl), the largest and most active volcanoes in Europe. More than 10 million tourists visit Nicolosi every year and in particular its north area (the "Etna Sud" tourist area) where the station of the Etna cable car, lifts for ski activities or excursions are located. In case of volcanic, seismic or other emergencies, it would be very useful to be able to be able to provide alerts to visitors via mobile notifications and suggest the rules of correct behavior for their own safety. It is therefore requested that the mobile application, absolutely free, is suggested to visitors when they reach Nicolosi in the vicinity of the town and / or in the the "Etna Sud" tourist area at an altitude of 1,900.
